It was c.1900 when William Laws decided to go into business in Castle Street, selling bikes and motorbike as well as supplying petrol. Some time after this Laws started selling records, too. If you visit the shop you can see this old vinyl record fixed to the wall.

The shop has developed over the last 100 years. It has tradition and quality of service, but you can now buy anything from a lightbulb to some very funky Wellington boots. We like to think that shopping with us is an experience as far away from clicking on something on Amazon as you can possibly get.
